Subscribe to Online Edition
For years, the best content of our newspapers has been published on our web sites for free. We will continue to do that, and now we’re adding the option of a paid online subscription in which you can receive the ENTIRE newspaper online.
What is available online?
At our free web site, you get the top stories, area news, people items, crime and record reports, obituaries, columns, letters to the editor, events, classified ads, legals, and limited sports.
The paid version of the complete newspaper also includes:
• all photos in the paper
• other news stories
• all community page items
• all school coverage
• other viewpoints page items
• church schedules
• the complete sports section
• all advertising
What’s free, what isn’t?
Our intent is to continue providing the main items on the free web site as in the past.
The paid option simply offers a way to get the entire newspaper content online. This format uses the actual pdf pages created to print the newspaper.
How do “online subscriptions” work?
From our web site, just click on the option to subscribe to the “Online Edition.” You can choose periods of one year, six months, three months, or one month.
During the period you select, you have full access to all the newspaper pages published with the past 90 days.
All the pages are fully searchable if you are looking for specific content.
How much does it cost?
Here are the online subscription rates:
1 year - $29.95
6 months - $22.95
3 months - $16.95
1 month - $11.95
Archives dating back to Jan. 1, 2006 are also available for these amounts:
1 day - $7.95
3 days - $9.95
l month - $24.95
1 year - $99.95
When is the full paper available online?
Generally, the complete newspaper will be available during the day on Mondays.
Much of our free content is posted on Fridays while production is being done for the actual newspaper before it is printed. In order to have the online editions complete, pages won’t be available until Mondays.
Of course, there will be some variation in schedule around major holidays.
Can I subscribe to both print and online versions?
Sure, however, due to the cost of publishing in both formats (print and online), we aren’t able to offer discounts to readers who choose to get both.
Can I trade in my print subscription for online?
Sorry, at this time we are not able to offer a trade-in option.
What are the system requirements
All pages are provided in PDF format.
For a PC, you’ll need Windows XP or 2000, using Explorer 5 or newer, Mozilla 1.7 or newer; plus Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 or newer, with your browser set to view pdf files.
For a Mac, you’ll need OS 10.3 using Safari and Acrobat 7, with the browser set to view pdf files instead of download them.
Monitor resolution should be set to 1024 x 768 or higher, and pop-up blockers should be disabled for optimum viewing.
