Dassel had 97 building permits in 2006, with a total of $2,815,385 in valuation, according to City Administrator Myles McGrath.

More than 20 of those were for housing, with 15 issued for new, single-family homes. The valuation for the single-family homes totaled $1,865,856.

Dassel also approved permits for two twin homes with a valuation totaling $584,982; and a triplex for $364,547.

The biggest commercial permits were for the new clinics, Meeker Memorial Clinic, and Dassel Medical Clinic, and Farm-Rite Equipment, with valuations totaling $1,676,508, McGrath said.
