Several new projects are in progress for Dassel with construction taking place at nearly every corner of town.

Summit Hills, on the north side of town, is in its first phase. This project will add 94 units to the city, with about one fourth being townhomes and the balance being single family homes.

In its second phase it brings the total number of new units to 204, said City Administrator Myles McGrath.

Highland Meadows, to the southeast, is in its first phase at 49 single family homes. In its second phase, which will require final plat approval, it will triple in size to a total of about 150. “The price range is affordable for families,” McGraith said.

Martin Estates, to the southwest, is a mix of twin and single family homes, with only about 10 lots left. There may be expansion to this in the future, according to McGraith.

Senior citizens have a choice of rental housing with Lakeside Apartments.
